TDP STAND ON TELANGANA

TDP NOT AGAINST TELANGANA-CHANDRA BABU NAIDU

WARANGAL: "I promise to put my first signature on the file relating to waiver of agricultural loans, if the Telugu Desam is elected to power in the next Assembly elections," said Telugu Desam chief and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Naidu, who was addressing a regional conference of the party workers here on Sunday, explained his "love" for Telangana and his commitment to the development of the region. "The Telugu Desam if elected to power will provide employment on compensatory groups to the kin of those who died for the cause of separate Telangana," Chandrababu Naidu said.
For the first time he spoke at length about the separate Telangana movement and sought to clarify that he was not against Telangana cause.
Challenging the Congress and the TRS to give good governance and able administration to the state he said, "No party gave priority to backward classes," adding that the Telugu Desam when was in power had reserved 100 Assembly seats for BC communities.
"The Telugu Desam is not against Telangana. Once we come to power we will lift all cases registered against T activists and students during the separate Telangana agitations," Chandrababu Naidu said.
He forecast that Telugu Desam would come to power and would play an important role at the national level. He said people were for the Third Front and they would give it a majority of parliament seats in the next general elections. The Telugu Desam would be in a position to decide on the candidate for the Prime Minister's post.
Chandrababu Naidu came down heavily on the Congress government for "giving uncertainty and throwing the country into utter chaos". He accused the TRS leadership of collecting bribes from and threatening the influential people.
Hundreds of workers besides former MP Chada Suresh Reddy, former APCO chairmen Mandala Sriramulu, and YSRCP leader Sangala Eermiya joined the TD.
